WHAT IS HAND POKE?

Hand poke, also known as "stick and poke", is a traditional manual technique of tattooing that's been in practice dating back to ancient Egyptian times.

What's used?

  • Sterilized professional tattoo needles

  • U.S. made tattoo ink (vegan friendly)

  • Other necessary sanitary essentials

Healing time?

  • 2 - 4 weeks with proper aftercare.

How many sessions?

  • 1-3 depending on the size, detail, location, etc.  Touch-ups are recommend and are complimentary.

Is it painful?

  • Hand poke tattoos are less invasive and tend to be less painful than machine tattoos. Please note that everyone has different pain tolerances. The location, amount of detail, needle size, hand pressure, etc., all affect the feel of it.

Is it permanent?

  • Yes! Even though the ink is not deposited as deeply as machine tattooing, it is still just as real and effective. Hand poke tattoos deposit less ink into the skin so it generally looks settled more quickly than a machine tattoo.
