Pokey Robinson is a hand poke tattoo artist based out of a private studio in Traverse City, Michigan.
Pokey's tattooing career started in February of 2021.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
The name Pokey Robinson is an amalgamation of my keenness of a Simon and Garfunkel song and the punny nickname “Pokey” my clients dubbed me due to the method of hand poke tattooing.
As a youngster, I was required to select a Saint name to be confirmed into the Catholic religion. There wasn’t a “Saint Mrs. Robinson” for obvious reasons. So, I chose the next best one…“Cecilia” the patron Saint of music and ironically the name of another great Simon and Garfunkel song.
Many years later, I took my long awaited chance to claim the name Mrs. Robinson and thus we have Pokey Robinson.
Some of you might also recognize the similarity to Smokey Robinson of the Motown band The Miracles. To this I will say it is a respectful nod to the Michigan born musician AND I am not associated with/claim any relation to/or present myself as Smokey Robinson.
